A pair of vintage French antique vase lamps of bottle form dressed with Aesthetic manner bronze mounts

The latter fifteen years of the 19th century saw the arrival of the more severe Aesthetic Period and the Arts and Crafts movement; the design of these lamps tend to the former style, with its adaptation of the Greek acanthus, as a running frieze; our pair is dressed with conforming bronze mounts.
