A pair of vintage Dutch Delft antique vase lamps of distended baluster form, decorated in the Chinese manner,
dressed with French ormolu mounts.
This pair are of important size, dressed with bronze mounts, and were made in the Delft area of Holland, the center of pottery manufacture since the early 17th century, and decorated in the Chinese manner. The Dutch East India Company imported quantities of the newly fashionable Chinoiserie wares.
Delft factories manufactured a wide range of articles, with tin-glazes, utilizing Chinese vase forms and decoration.
